Neighborhood Catsによると、mass trappingには「コロニーの速やかな制御が可能」「一度で済ませるため、結果的に時間と労力を節約できる」「一度に捕獲する方が結果的に楽（最初の１匹を捕獲することは楽だが、少しずつ手術が進むと、未手術の猫を選んで捕獲することが逆に厄介になる）」といった利点があります。
To support mass trapping, a TNR program should make a sufficient amount of traps and other equipment available for borrowing, as it is unlikely a caretaker will buy as many traps as there are colony cats for one-time use. There must also be enough surgical capacity made available to accommodate entire colonies, allowing all the cats to be trapped and sterilized together.
