Grassroots Mobilization（草の根動員）によるTNR活動の実務者に実施するワークショップ形式の事前研修の内容は多岐にわたりますが、実施可能であれば一斉捕獲（Mass trapping）について教育すべきだとKortis (2014)はいいます。” PetSmart Charities Community TNR: Tactics and Tools”にはこう記載されています。
一斉捕獲の教育
Workshops can serve several purposes. Foremost is to teach caretakers how to safely trap all their cats and get them spayed or neutered. Mass trapping — the TNR of all the cats in a colony at once — should be the approach taught if local spay/neuter providers can accommodate entire colonies at a time. Mass trapping quickly remedies what might be an out-of-control situation, stopping reproduction and calming neighbors disturbed by cats’ nuisance behavior. It is also easier to catch all the cats at the same time than to go one-by-one and eventually have to pick out the last ones from the rest of the colony. There are economies of scale as well, as transportation, arranging holding space, securing equipment and all the other steps need only be done once.
ワークショップには、いくつかの目的があります。最も重要なことは、すべての猫を安全に捕獲し、避妊去勢手術を受ける方法を世話人に教えることです。もし地元の避妊去勢手術の提供者が一度に全コロニーを収容できるのであれば、一斉捕獲（コロニー内の全猫を一度にTNRすること）を教えるべきです。一斉捕獲は、制御不能となりかねない状況を素早く改善し、繁殖を止め、猫の迷惑行為に悩まされる近隣住民を落ち着かせます。また、一匹ずつ捕獲して、最終的にコロニーから最後の一匹を選び出すよりも、一度にすべての猫を捕獲する方が簡単です。移送、飼育スペースの確保、機材の確保など、すべての工程が一度で済むので、スケールメリットもあります。(p99-100)
