TNR後の猫の長期的な世話について
Caretakers can also be taught best practices for the long-term care of the cats. Practical topics could include how to deal with neighbors, ways to keep cats out of gardens and yards, and inexpensive means for boosting nutrition and providing winter shelter.
また、世話人には、猫の長期的な世話のためのベストプラクティスを教えることもできます。隣人との付き合い方、庭や敷地内に猫を入れない方法、給餌や冬場の避難場所として安価に利用できる方法など、実践的な内容です。(p100)
猫のケア基準のすり合わせ
By providing workshops, the TNR program has the opportunity to set the standards of care for how TNR will be practiced in that community.

すべての猫にFIVやFeLVの検査を行うかどうか、手術後の猫をどれだけの期間置くべきか、ワクチン接種や駆虫など、TNR実施団体や個人によってそれぞれの「作法」があります。ワークショップはそれらを地域内ですり合わせる機会でもあります。
サービス提供者との関わり
Workshops can also acquaint caretakers with the procedures of service providers. For a spay/neuter clinic, these may include paperwork to be completed ahead of time, drop-off and pickup times, the need to bring each cat in a separate, covered trap, and the cost of optional veterinary services. Training people how to interact with service providers will make the process of using services smoother, encouraging providers’ continued participation in the TNR program.
また、ワークショップでは、サービス提供者の手続きも知ることができます。スペイクリニックの場合、事前に済ませておくべき書類作成、預け入れと引き取りの時間、猫一匹ずつを別々の捕獲器に入れる必要性、オプションの獣医療サービスの費用などが含まれるかもしれません。サービス提供者との関わり方をトレーニングすることで、サービス利用がスムーズになり、提供者のTNR活動への継続的な参加を促すことができます。(p101)
ワークショップ受講者へのインセンティブ
One option to consider is making workshop attendance mandatory in exchange for access to other TNR services, such as discount spay/neuter surgeries, free trap rentals, food giveaways and expert assistance. This ensures everyone working with the TNR program has basic training and knows how the local system works. The program could then distribute a list of attendees to service providers or provide attendees with a certificate or card to present when arranging services.
ワークショップへの参加を義務付ける代わりに、避妊去勢手術の割引、捕獲器の無料レンタル、餌の支給、専門家の支援など、他のTNRサービスを利用できるようにすることも検討すべき方法の一つです。こうすることで、TNR活動に携わる全員が基本的なトレーニングを受け、地域のシステムがどのように機能しているかを知ることができます。その後、サービス提供者に参加者のリストを配布したり、サービスを手配する際に提示するための証明書やカードを参加者に提供したりすることができます。(p101)
